Somos o Caminhos do Lagarto,

Acreditamos nos projetos de base comunitária e nos processos colaborativos como motores de transformações reais. Visamos gerar mudanças sociais e ambientais que melhorem a qualidade de vida da nossa comunidade através da geração de renda local, da educação ambiental e o empoderamento coletivo.

A iniciativa Caminhos do Lagarto é um projeto que propõe um turismo diferente; um turismo de aventura, ecológico, justo e inclusivo que oferece de maneira sustentável e original experiências entre a favela e a floresta. É criado, gerido e desenvolvido por um grupo de moradores locais e se mantém permanentemente aberto para a participação de novos colaboradores.

Olhar, sentir e potencializar a floresta para a geração de renda local de forma sustentável, através do ecoturismo de base comunitária, foi uma solução inteligente encontrada no que diz respeito à educação ambiental, ao emprego local, empoderamento das pessoas, o fortalecimento do senso de comunidade e ainda uma opção de lazer, cultura e atividade física aos que decidem caminhar conosco.

 

O CAMINHO ANDADO 

A ideia de trabalhar o ecoturismo na Vila Laboriaux (tradicional área da Rocinha), surgiu durante um processo participativo organizado pelo coletivo Favela Verde  e o Movimento Preserva Laboriaux, em parceria com a Associação de Moradores de Vila Laboriaux e Vila Cruzado e o Parque Nacional da Tijuca (PNT), chamado “Conversas entre vizinhos”, em que foi identificado, conjuntamente entre os residentes, e criado um grupo de trabalho que explorasse o alto potencial turístico, social e ambiental da região, ao passo que melhorasse a relação ‘’favela - floresta’’.

Algumas semanas após a realização e a análise desse diagnóstico participativo obtido no Conversa entre Vizinhos, nasceu o grupo de trabalho formado por moradores do Laboriaux e Rocinha que logo se chamaria Caminhos do Lagarto!

Nos últimos meses, através de trabalho voluntário, muita coisa já foi feita: reuniões semanais, identidade visual, nome, diferentes alternativas de ecoturismo e cultura da favela, uma “fanpage” que vem crescendo dia após dia e, o mais importante: experiências de sucesso com convidados que conheceram o nosso trabalho e deixaram como feedback a certeza de que devemos seguir movimentando e investindo energia, amor e esperança na equipe Caminhos do Lagarto. Eis que surge a ideia de participar da Benfeitoria!

 

O CAMINHO QUE SEGUE

Quando decidimos participar do financiamento colaborativo da Benfeitoria, focamos mais do que nunca na criação da estratégia que daria a clareza que buscávamos antes de começar a oferecer aberto e amplamente os serviços de ecoturismo que vinham sendo estudados no Laboriaux e no Parque Nacional da Tijuca, através de uma parceria pioneira entre a favela e a instituição PNT.

Nesse processo de criação e decisão, nos demos conta de que precisávamos estruturar um bom plano de negócios e pensar de forma eficiente para, uma vez que tivermos a meta alcançada, saber como investir o dinheiro doado pelos nossos apoiadores. Colaborativamente chegamos ao consenso que o mais apropriado será investir a meta alcançada na Benfeitoria em forma de Capital Semente com o fim de estruturar o projeto em 4 meses, o dinheiró irá investido em: equipamentos, em publicidade, na comunicação, para realizar ações socioambientais e nos recursos humanos. Dessa forma montaremos um cenário empresarial real e, com a experiência já adquirida durante todo o trabalho realizado até o momento, colocaremos a energia e dedicaremos o tempo necessário para que esse projeto seja uma empresa social, sustentável e uma referência no ramo do ecoturismo de base comunitária no Rio de Janeiro.

Com o intento de preservar a nossa filosofia solidária e inclusiva, decidimos manter nessa nova estratégia uma atividade que vem sendo fundamental para o nosso crescimento como profissionais no ramo do ecoturismo de base comunitária: realizar semanalmente um roteiro de caráter experimental, apoiado pelo Parque Nacional da Tijuca, aberto ao público e sujeito a contribuição consciente por parte do convidado. Dessa maneira conseguiremos oferecer de forma propícia nossos serviços a qualquer interessado, curioso ou apaixonado por trilhas, traçarmos um roteiro manejado de acordo com técnicas modernas de implantação de trilhas e, consequentemente, aprender com, conhecer e respeitar mais e mais os diferentes perfis de clientes.

Foi com muito amor e energia positiva lá nas alturas que elaboramos uma série de recompensas para ganhar o seu carinho, simpatia e interesse. Essas recompensas vão desde ecobags, vídeos, tours, trilhas, piquenique - nascer do sol, música ao vivo e almoços, até festas na laje, com direito a um grupo de amigos e uma paisagem, modéstia a parte, das mais belas do mundo.

Lindo, sim? E tudo feito com genuína gratidão!

COMMUNITY BASED ECOTOURISM - FAVELA DA ROCINHA

The DREAM to Walk

We are "Caminhos da Lagarto" (The Lizard Path),

We believe in community-based projects and collaborative processes as real change engines. We aim to generate social and environmental changes that improve our community's quality of life through local income generation, environmental education and collective empowerment.

The "Caminhos da Lagarto" is a project that proposes a different tourism; an adventure tourism, ecological, fair and inclusive offering sustainably and unique experiences between the favela and the forest. It is created, managed and developed by a group of local residents and remains permanently open to the participation of new employees.

Look, feel and enhance the forest to generate local income sustainably through community-based ecotourism was a clever solution found with regard to environmental education, local employment, empowerment of people, strengthening the sense of community and also a leisure option, culture and physical activity to those who decide to walk with us.

The path we already walked

The idea of ​​working with ecotourism in Vila Laboriaux (traditional area of ​​Favela da Rocinha), came during a participatory process organized by the Civil Association Favela Verde and Movimento Preserva Laboriaux, in partnership with the Association of Residents of Vila Laboriaux and Vila Cruzaod and the National Park Tijuca, called "Conversations between neighbors", Ecotourism was identified as a prioritized topic, together with residents, and a working group was created to explore the social and environmental touristic potential of the region, as a way to improvement the relationship '' slum - forest ''.

A few weeks after the completion and analysis of this participatory diagnosis obtained in Conversation Between Neighbors, the working group was born formed by residents of Rocinha and Laboriaux then called Caminhos do Lagarto.

In recent months, through volunteer work, a lot has already been done: weekly meetings, visual identity, name, different alternatives of ecotourism and culture of the favela, a 'fanpage " that is growing day after day and, most importantly, successfully experiences with guests who got to know our work and left as feedback to make sure that we follow moving and investing energy, love and hope in Caminhos do Lagarto team. They then had the idea of ​​participating in the Benfeitoria!

The path that follows

When we decided to participate in the collaborative funding Benfeitoria, we focus more than ever on creating the strategy that would give the clarity that we were looking for before starting to offer open and widely ecotourism services that were being studied in Laboriaux and the Tijuca National Park, through a pioneering partnership between the favela and the Tijuca National Park Institution.

In this process of creation and decision, we realized we needed to structure a good business plan and think efficiently to, once we have reached the goal, know how to invest the money donated by our supporters.

Collaboratively we reached the consensus that the most appropriate way to invest the goal achieved in Benfeitoria would be as a Seed Capital in order to structure the project in the first four months, the money will be invested in: equipment, advertising, communication, to carry out environmental actions and in human resources.
Thus assemble a real business scenario, and with the experience gained throughout the work done to date, put energy and devote the necessary time to make this project a social enterprise, sustainable and a reference in the basic community ecotourism industry in Rio de Janeiro.

With the intent to preserve our solidarity and inclusive philosophy we decided to keep this new strategy an activity that has been key to our growth as professionals in the field of community-based ecotourism: weekly conduct a trial basis script, supported by the National Park Tijuca, open to the public and subject to conscious contribution by the guest. In this way we can offer in a positive way our services to anyone interested, curious or passionate on trails, trace one handled script according to modern techniques trails deployment and, consequently, learn, know and respect more and more different customer profiles .

It was with much love and positive energy that we prepared a series of rewards to earn your affection, sympathy and interest. These rewards range from ecobags, videos, tours, trails, picnic - sunrise, live music and lunch, to parties on the slab, complete with a group of friends and a landscape, modesty aside, the most beautiful in the world.
